The glossary is being gradually proof checked, but currently has many typos and misspellings.

The Dartmouth Workshop was a meeting of about a dozen researchers in 1956 at Dartmouth College. It was here that the term 'Artificial Intelligence' was coined, and hence is the official starting point for the discipline, although, the roots can be traced before this, not least amongst the attendees.
